There are roughly 142 million children in India who should be in school, but are not. India has the largest population of underprivileged children in the world. Over 1 million homeless children live on the streets of Mumbai alone. Without a change in the course of their lives, they will be exploited. The boys will be recruited for slave labor and the girls for sexual labor.

Partnering with our friends at Every Nation Mumbai, we plan to open a Christian school that will provide an opportunity for some of these children to obtain an education that will lead to jobs, a way up and out of poverty, and most of all, hope for a future.

How we know India Street School:

Two of our board members travel to India regularly to work with a local pastor to advance this project.
