About Us

CEED Funds was founded in 2012 by a group of mission-minded people who wanted to “Do good” and “Invest in eternity.” Recognizing that some of the people we knew on the front lines in places like Guatemala and India were making an impact, but needed more resources, we decided to help tell their stories and find donors to partner with them.

Our partners and their work fall under one or more of the categories in our name: Evangelism, Education, and Discipleship. Sometimes this is expressed in an after school program for children or other times, translating the Bible for a people group. Whatever the project, the motivation is the love of Christ poured out for all.

    David Montgomery

    Chair

    David Montgomery holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and worked as a software engineer for 36 years. David is a financial educator and licensed financial advisor.


  • Karen Montgomery

    Karen Montgomery

    Secretary/Treasurer

    Karen Montgomery received her BS in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and Certificate of Nonprofit Management from George Mason University. She has over 20 years experience in project management and nonprofits.


Finances

CEED Funds is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donations are tax exempt to the fullest extent of the law.

We have an all-volunteer board who also donate their time and professional experience to CEED Funds, keeping our administrative costs at a minimum. The expenses we do have are covered by private donors so your gifts go directly to the project you designate.

Each of our partners has a personal connection to our board members – we know them and communicate with them regularly – so you can be assured your donations are being used as intended. Check our Facebook page for monthly updates from the field.
